So after figuring out the basic shape of my city in Maya it's time to put a few details onto here is just a few thumbnails trying a few things out on one of the models I did.

I think you need to avoid the 'Scooby-Do' effect that's happening here - it's because the crookedness is evoking all those classic Halloweeny houses and spooky castles, which I think you should extrude your shapes from Bat imagery and go for something more fortress-y and imposing. It's getting a bit Disney here, I reckon...
