Gate Modelling and UV mapping

Here is the finished model for my gate and I've now completed UV mapping it as well. The gate is still missing the people that will be inside it, so next is modelling my character.


  1. Hey Kym - I'm just wondering why - considering all the other architectural elements - why you've got all those pristine right-angles going on here? It's a bit like you're thinking of the gate as a separate unit to some of those more interesting architectural forms constituting the rest of your city? Is there maybe an argument here for just introducing some deformation to bring this element in line with some of the others?

    1. I never really thought of it in that way, when I add the wall I could play around with twisting it a bit so that the main arch is no longer straight like it is now.
