More collages

Here are the rest of my collages, I ended up using very few of my photos that I had left since they were not abstract images it was quite difficult to manipulate them into something usable that didn't still look like the original photo. I started to repeat the same process that I had used on some of the other images and came up with the same results, but I think I have quite a few collages to work with some of them are definitely more usable than the others, so now what I'll be doing is start to bring all these collages into something recognisable as a city.

Adaptation B: Collages

I've been making some collages with the photos I have taken and posted in a previous post. Below is my progress so far. I still have a number of photos left to play around with and I'm aiming to have this stage done by the end of tomorrow, but I thought I would post up my progress so far. After I've completed this process with the remaining photos that I have, I will be taking these very abstract images I've created and start bringing them into a more coherent images that will hopefully start to resemble the city I will be creating.

Mudbox Lesson

In today's mudbox lesson we continued working on our robot and we began texturing it and learning how to use layer masks, diffuse and secular layers.

Adaptation B

During one of my tutorials with Phil it was suggested that one of the ways that I start to design my city is by having a week of collaging and experimentation to get some interesting shapes and designs. So I've started off with taking some pictures using ones I took in Prague as well as some I took of Rochester Cathedral before I went to Prague. Also I took some yesterday of the objects in my room and their shadows. Now that I have all these images I'm going to use them to collage, draw over and manipulate in various ways to see what I can come up with.

"The Tales of the Thirty Pragues"

Here is a small selection of some of the photos that I took while in Prague, I would be here for days if I had to put them all up. Prague was amazing I was there with some awesome people and I'm incredibly sad to be back. Thank you Phil, Jackie and Chris for making it such an enjoyable experience and I made sure to exclude the more embarrassing pictures, videos and stories :).

Life Drawing

I also forgot to post my Life drawing from last week. I went to the class with the intention of using the drawing to help me create interesting shapes for my Adaptation B project. It was a great help then that last week it was all about quick drawings. So all these drawing range from 15 seconds to 5 minutes. Some of them I did a bit of continuous line drawing, some without looking at the images and then others just drawing images one on top of another.

Adaptation A: Infographic animation

Here is my final infographic. I had quite a few problems putting this all together in after effects, I now love after effects for the amazing things it can do but hate it for how complicated it makes the simplest things. Due to my image sizes so they wouldn't pixelate when I zoomed into them my render time in after effects was ridiculous. But in the end I'm not to unhappy with it there's still things I'd like to change but overall I'm pleased with it.
