CGAA Speed Paint Challenge #2
'Jack Frost's Asylum For Malcontent Snowmen' This one was quite hard to come up with an idea of what to do so I did the usual squiggles on the page to see what I could come up with pretty happy with the results, spent 15 minutes on this one.

CGAA Speed Paint Challenge
A Christmas tree jungle..Part of the daily speed painting challenge, was quite hard to come up with ideas for this. Spent 5 minutes on each.
I liked the last one the best out of the three.

final rendered scene and digital pipeline
Here is my final rendered set with the matte painting and the digital set pipeline. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out but the lighting is not how I wanted it, was really difficult to get right, I think if I had another week I would probably still not have the lighting the way I want it.

Matte Painting
In my scene I'm having a matte painting that shows what's through the door as it's a bit easier than modeling another scene and then having to light it and and texture it. I was going to have lots of casinos tables but once I put them in since this is such a small image they looked like blobs so instead I put crowds of people which looked slightly better.

Skull
Not the best skull in the world but as my first attempt I think it's pretty good and at least it looks like a skull. When i texture it I will be adding more detail.

Maya Progress
Finished modeling most of my scene just have the skull and a small stand for my hero prop left to do, pretty happy with the way its come out, now to see what it looks like when I start lighting it.
Also finished modeling my hero prop the little details on the cover were quite hard to do and my geometry is quite bad on it but it looks how I want it to.

Photoshop: Character
Another little exercise but this time with characters. I started out with scribbles and tried to turn them into whatever characters I saw in the scribbles.
Photoshop
today we played around with scribbling down quick images again, this time we used photographs as the background and had to try work into the photo and find an image, I found this a lot harder and my first two attempts didn't go so well but the third attempt came out a lot better, can imagen it is what someone might see if they walked into a cave on acid.
And then the last image is just working on the image we liked the most for an extra 10 minutes.
